You’ll begin your Graduate Traineeship soon after joining us. It’s designed to get you up to speed on IMC's trading strategies and product coverage, as well as the critical infrastructure that underpins everything we do.
You’ll be based in one of our global offices, where you’ll immediately be immersed in IMC’s collaborative, high-performance culture. Depending on your area of focus, you’ll receive specialised, hands-on training from our experienced traders and engineers.
The training combines classroom learning with real-world challenges to help you build your knowledge and skills from the ground up. It’s also a unique opportunity to connect with peers from each of our global offices and network with senior leaders.

At the end of your Graduate Traineeship, you’ll return to the Sydney office for further structured training as part of your Local Traineeship.
The exact training you receive depends on your school. Trainees from our Trading School spend six weeks mastering APAC-specific market strategies, trading theory, strategy and execution, trades analysis, and research. Engineering trainees spend three weeks expanding their knowledge of the systems, processes, and strategies we use across IMC in APAC.
Whatever your area of focus, you can expect a combination of desk-based training, ongoing guest lectures, and structured learning led by the brightest minds in trading and technology.
