IMC Launchpad is an exclusive two-day discovery programme for ambitious pre-penultimate year university students interested in learning about software engineering and quantitative trading roles at a leading global trading firm.
If you’re curious about what life at IMC could look like, and want to gain hands-on technical skills, this is the experience for you.

Studying a relevant degree like computer science, maths, econometrics, engineering, or equivalent at a European university.
Those with a desire to learn and keen to be fast-tracked to our internship programme.
Launchpad at a glance
The itinerary
Take part in introductory sessions including a general welcome to the programme, an introduction to IMC, and a tour of our office. You’ll learn about the work we do through interactive presentations on trading, technology, and machine learning before taking part in a poker tournament where you’ll test your skills against our IMC masterminds.
Dive deeper into trading and technology at IMC with workshops and hands-on learning. Following a news lecture from one of our analysts, trading students participate in market making games and test your knowledge in our trading simulation. Meanwhile, software engineering students learn from our Strategy and Execution teams and take part in a Q&A, before participating in a low-latency challenge that tests your algorithmic optimisation skills. Everyone comes together at the end of the day for prizes and drinks, where you’ll get to network with IMC’s seasoned quants, traders, and engineers.
