WHO IS IT FOR?
Our internship is open to ambitious, high-performing students in their penultimate year who are studying a technical subject like maths, statistics, engineering, physics, or a related field, who can commit to a ten-week summer programme with us.
No prior experience in trading or finance? No problem! All you need is a passion for learning and a readiness to tackle challenges head on.

10 WEEKS TO MAKE YOUR MARK
In week one, you'll get an introduction to the financial markets and IMC's unique approach to trading. We'll also introduce you to game theory and options theory, and set you up for success with Python programming. However, the training doesn’t stop after the first week. Throughout the internship, we'll continue to challenge you with training sessions, trading games, simulations, and lectures.
Starting in week two, you'll work on your individual research-based project. Focusing on the more systematic, analytics-driven parts of our trading activities, you could find yourself generating new trading strategies or working on tools, functionality, or visibility for a specific use case.
You'll be in close contact with your dedicated mentor throughout your project. They'll coach you, challenge you, and review your work. At the end of the programme, you'll present your project to your IMC colleagues. Top performers often see their ideas go into production at IMC.
